EnerQuip Announces Revenue and Staff Growth
25 June 2019
EnerQuip, an Aberdeen-based company which specialises in torque machines has announced significant growth in revenue and staff numbers – and is on track to continue the upward trend.
Enerquip, who manufacture torque machines from their facilities in Aberdeen and Caithness, have made the announcement as it prepares to create its landmark 50th torque machine in response to growing demand from an international client base.
In its first full year of trading in 2016, the company achieved turnover of £2 million which grew to £8 million in 2018. The figure is on track to rise sharply again, with £12 million anticipated during the current year.
The company employs 59 staff in Aberdeen, Caithness and Houston and expects headcount to double in the next two years as ambitious domestic and overseas growth plans continue apace. With recruitment ongoing, career opportunities currently exist in various disciplines including operations, design and purchasing.
Enerquip is a market-leading specialist in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of torque machines and associated products, including bucking units and fully rotational makeup and breakout torque machines which can be adapted to suit any application. A highly skilled team with combined experience of more than 100 years delivers 24/7, 365 support and works with a growing client base in Africa, North and South America, Canada, Europe, Far East, Australia, Middle East and Russia.
Director Andrew Robins said: “Our strength lies in providing bespoke, customer-led solutions rather than so-called ‘off-the-shelf’ options and this has been instrumental in facilitating the organic growth we have seen since 2016.
“The vast majority of what we do is for international markets but we are delighted that our ongoing growth is leading to the creation of jobs here in Scotland.”
Fellow Director John Duncan added: “We also believe in the need for constant innovation to remain at the forefront of our sector, and that is the driver behind our new mobile torque machine, an all-in-one option which brings an important additional dimension to our product portfolio.”
